This training is intended for institutions that plan to comply with the new Title IX regulations that take effect August 1, 2024. Title IX Coordinators and Deputy Coordinators are responsible for ensuring that your institution complies with its obligations under the new rule, as well as the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act (VAWA). Both the 2024 Title IX regulations and VAWA require Title IX Coordinators and Deputy Coordinators to receive specialized training on an annual basis. Further, your institution’s Title IX Coordinators and Deputy Coordinators will need to be prepared to bring your institution’s policies and procedures into compliance with the new Title IX rule. Given the changes to the law, the heightened focus on enforcement of Title IX, and the increasing complexity of these matters, it is more important than ever that your Title IX Coordinators are well trained on your institution’s obligations under Title IX and VAWA.
Join us for an in-depth training specifically designed to satisfy Title IX and VAWA annual training requirements and to provide advanced Title IX Coordinators and Deputy Coordinators with an up-to-date understanding of current compliance requirements, as well as best practices. Our training is conducted by higher education attorneys who regularly advise institutions on all aspects of sex discrimination matters, from policy drafting to investigating and adjudicating cases of sex discrimination and sex-based harassment, through the final resolution of these matters. Our firsthand, real-world experience helps participants understand not only the legal requirements, but also the practical day-to-day application of related policies and procedures. This training helps even the most experienced participants navigate the complex and often nuanced issues that arise throughout the Title IX/VAWA process. Attendees will also have the opportunity to put their training into action as they work together to oversee a complex sex discrimination case and receive valuable, in-the-moment feedback from higher education attorneys.
