Minnesota Campus Sexual Misconduct Law Training

Higher education institutions in Minnesota must fully implement the recent amendments to the Minnesota Campus Sexual Misconduct Policy law by the start of the 2026-2027 academic year. Additionally, state law requires annual training for individuals at colleges and universities who are responsible for responding to reports of sexual misconduct.

Join us for a two-hour training focused on new requirements under the Minnesota law and how those requirements impact your institution’s current sexual misconduct complaint procedures. This training is designed to complement our Title IX and VAWA trainings for Title IX Coordinators, investigators, and adjudicators with a focus on Minnesota-specific requirements and how to implement the new requirements while still complying with Federal law.

Topics Include:

  • Overview of new legal requirements under Minnesota Campus Sexual Misconduct Policy
    • Evidence and report review
    • Nondisclosure agreements
    • Live hearing requirements
    • Issuing a Notice of Determination
  • How to determine which laws and requirements apply in a given case
  • How to address conflicts with Federal law
