Thomas Calhoun-Lopez

Tom is an investigator and adjudicator with trainED, focusing on sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, gender-related violence, and protected class discrimination and harassment cases on behalf of higher education institutions. In his legal practice, he represents clients in internal investigations, white-collar criminal matters, and complex litigation. Tom brings a unique perspective with his experience as a former federal prosecutor with over 15 years of service in the Justice Department, where he served as chief of the Violent and Major Crimes section. There Tom’s work included investigations into sexual assault and violent crimes. He also served as a military judge in the U.S. Army, and as an active-duty Army JAG officer, he served as in-house counsel, advising commanders on complex areas of law including employment law and internal investigations.
