Tana VanGoethem is an attorney with trainED and focuses her practice on employment and higher education matters. She regularly advises clients on employment-related policies and has experience representing clients before administrative agencies. She has extensive experience conducting higher education investigations and adjudications on behalf of institutions, including sexual misconduct investigations. Tana conducts independent investigations into allegations of child abuse and external reviews of organizations’ child safety prevention and response efforts. She also has experience conducting internal investigations related to employee misconduct and other employment-related claims. As a member of the trainED team, Tana has a clear understanding of the legal landscape for higher education institutions, including the Clery Act, Title IX and VAWA. She recognizes the challenges higher education institutions face in light of increasing regulatory requirements, and works efficiently with the organization to achieve compliance.
